ePack #14

Dear Families:

Wow!  Just one week to go until vacation!  Please remember that we are on break from December 24th - January 2nd.  Friday, December 23rd is an early dismissal day at 11:30 a.m. for students.  We return to school on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Temperatures:  The area is expecting extremely cold temperatures tomorrow.  We will obviously not be sending the children outside for recess.  Please keep your eye on the news tomorrow.

Winter Fair:  The Winter Fair wrapped up last night with our Family Shopping Night.  Thank you to ALL of our volunteers and the PTO for organizing this event.

PTO:  I regret to inform you that Jen Brillon has stepped down as PTO President due to personal reasons.  We will be scheduling a PTO meeting prior to the January 23rd meeting to discuss a transition.

Movie Day:  The children earned a movie for surpassing their November PBIS goal.  There will be a yellow, hard copy permission slip coming home tomorrow.  The movie will be shown on Thursday, December 22nd.

Save the Date:  Spring Photos will be April 4, 2017.

We have a few postings in this week's ePack.  You can check them out here.

Stay warm!

Mr. Gaudette

Dear Families:

It looks as though the cold weather is on our doorstep!  Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for recess outdoors.  We will be going outside to recess if it is 28 degrees or higher.  Also, please make sure your child's clothing items (coats, gloves, hats, etc.) are labeled.

Student Report Cards:  Students in grades 1-5 will receive their Trimester I report cards on Monday, December 12th.  The report card will be in an yellow envelope - please sign and return that envelope.

PTO Meeting:  Our next PTO meeting is this Monday, December 12th at 7:00 p.m.  Hope you can join us!

Winter Fair:  The Winter Fair will be held next week on Wednesday, December 14th and Thursday, December 15th.  Please find the full schedule in tonight's ePack by clicking here

Superintendent Search:  Current Assistant Superintendent, Scott Holcomb, was chosen this past Tuesday night to be the school department's next Superintendent effective February 1, 2017. Here is the article from the Sun Chronicle.

ePack #12

Dear Families:

Apologies for the one day delay in this week's ePack message.  I attended the CACE/Title I conference Wednesday night through Friday and was unable to get to my message on Thursday. There were some very interesting speakers at this conference and it is always good to step away from school for some good professional development.

Good News:  Shaws Supermarket is donating $400 to our school!  We are accepting the check on Monday, December 5th.  I'll work with the PTO to decide how to utilize the funds.

School "Report Card":  On Friday, December 9th, I will release our school's "report card" based on our spring 2016 MCAS results.

Student Report Cards:  Students in grades 1-5 will receive their Trimester I report cards on Monday, December 12th.  The report card will be in an yellow envelope - please sign and return that envelope.

PTO Meeting:  Our next PTO meeting is Monday, December 12th at 7:00 p.m.

PBIS/Compliment Cards:  Our students reached their November target of 250 compliment cards/stars on their classroom comet posters!  Therefore, we will be watching a movie in the auditorium as their reward.  Date TBD.

There are many postings in today's ePack.  Please be sure to check them out.

Have a great weekend!
