Dear Families:
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year at Community School! It is only our third day and we are working hard to establish routines, expectations and schedules. We have a couple events coming up that I would like to invite you to attend. Open House is Thursday, September 15th. There is a flyer in today's ePack and a hard copy will go home tomorrow. Also, Monday, September 19th is our first PTO meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the library.
Morning Arrival: Students are allowed to enter the building at 8:05 a.m. If children enter the building prior to 8:05 a.m., they are not 100% supervised. Also, if you are dropping off your child off by car, you must pull onto Barrows Street and drop off your child. We have staff members in place in strategic spots in the building to make sure your child safely gets to the right spot. NO CARS should drop off children at the front semi-circle unless it is after 8:30 a.m.
Afternoon Dismissal: Parents are not allowed to park in the staff parking lot on the Barrows St. side of the building or in our neighbors' driveways. Thank you for your cooperation!
Forms: Many forms were sent home yesterday. Please return these forms to school as soon as possible.
My School Bucks: If you are interested in creating a lunch account for your child, click here.
Student Handbook: The 2016-2017 Student Handbook has been posted on the Community School home page. Please review the handbook here. A Student Handbook receipt will be sent home for your signature.
Remind: I use Remind to send text message reminders and information to parents. I've included the directions in today's ePack. I strongly suggest you take advantage of this system.
Twitter: Please don't forget to follow our school on Twitter: @CommunityComets
That's all for now. You can access this week's ePack PDF postings by clicking here.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Gaudette
